I know better than anyone that skating competitions depend on volunteers. However, athletes increasingly demand a more professional approach from organizing bodies, which are often made up entirely of volunteers.
Research, including that of NOC*NSF, shows that volunteers are often stretched to their limits. That’s where I come in with VDH Schaatsevents advies & begeleiding (VDH Skating Events advice & guidance): providing project-based support when existing capacity or expertise is insufficient, with a hands-on mentality.
